One is internationally renowned for creating the worlds most desirable shoes, the other a lauded designer who creates the lehenga’s of our dreams. So of course, when Christian Louboutin and Sabyasachi Mukherjee collaborated on an accessories line it was guaranteed to be an absolute match made in heaven.
“Christian visited my Mumbai store and we both realised we are very similar people who built our businesses independently. We hit it off as people first and the collaboration happened organically,” said Mukherjee.
From embellished sandals to lavishly embroidered boots, the combination of Louboutin’s signature red soles and the opulent detail that Sabyasachi is know for makes for a truly breathtaking collection of shoes.
Sadly for us NRI’s ( although perhaps happily for our bank balances) the collection is currently only available in at the Christian Louboutin boutiques in Mumbai and Delhi. For now we’ll satisfy ourselves by lusting after the collection online but as soon as we catch wind of an aunty visiting India you had better believe she’ll be receiving one hell of a shopping list.
