Whether it’s the opulent riviera location, the always golden sunshine or the coming together of the films industry’s greatest talents, the red carpet at The Cannes Film Festival is always one of the most glamorous, with starlets taking risk and going bold in their pursuit of the perfect red carpet look. This year was no exception with three of Bollywood’s finest actresses pulling out ALL the stops. Check out the outfits that got everyone talking.

Deepika Padukone was only in town for 48 hours but boy did she make them count. From Johanna Ortiz to Marchesa and Balenciaga, she was a picture of off key pretty but the look the really stole the show was a flowing emerald green gown by Brandon Maxwell that landed her on EVERY best-dressed list. Also, she is slaying with the eye-makeup!

Sonam Kapoor is an absolute fashion icon and she’s known for her bold and beautiful looks. She looked every inch the starlet in pink Elie Saab that cinched her in all the right places and brought the drama with flowing floor length bell sleeves and chose the designer again for a shimmery gold body fitting gown with a plunging neckline that was one part Audrey Hepburn in Sabrina and two parts Bollywood royalty.

Aishwarya Ria Bachchan knows how to make an entrance. And how to look like a princess. And how to have every photographer within a five mile radius climbing over each other just to catch the perfect shot of her looking her most perfect. *But its fine guys because you could take an up nostril shot of her and she’d still look like a queen.* Her pale blue Michael Cinco gown was ALL princess all the way and she rocked the look like a more fabulous Cinderella who doesn’t give a sh*t about being home by midnight. Of course just when you thought she couldn’t possible turn any more heads she pulled out the most gorgeous of Ralph and Russo gowns, a strapless and ruffled red number that was a fairtytale fantasy all grown up.

Seriously though, could I borrow that last look for my next movie night. I feel like Devdas would have a much happier ending if I were dressed like Bollywood royalty.
